Honest Windows & Doors Ltd understand and keep up to date with all legislations. Waste has always been a big issue for companies especially if you are installing new windows and doors. Many customers don't have adequate space for a skip or don't want to pay the costly amount some skip hire companies charge.
Recently, there has been an influx of tradespeople being fined under this law as there has been a combined effort from the Environmental Agency and local authorities to enforce waste carrier regulations across the country. In January 2014, the law for the carriage of waste changed in the UK. In short, if you transport waste of any kind, you are legally required to register as a waste carrier, even if it’s only in small quantities. If you fail to do so, you could be faced with fines of up to £5,000!

The regulations implemented in January 2014 state that if you carry waste as part of your normal business, whether it’s your own waste or someone else’s, you will need to have a Waste Carrier Licence.
